About Us

Opening Doors for Adults and Children

Our programs reflect solutions to the needs of individuals who want to better train themselves for the workplace and also reflect solutions for the local business community, which needs trained individuals in order to thrive.

Our programs continue to expand because we are committed to being responsive to the needs of the community.

For Over 50 Years

Since 1972, the Adult Learning Center has been providing quality education to the people of the greater Nashua area. Our students discover skills, which are theirs for a lifetime. By becoming educated, trained, employed, and independent, and by ensuring that their children are educated, our students are making a very personal contribution to a healthy, prosperous community.

The Adult Learning Center serves more than 3,000 individuals each year. We are located in two facilities, Lake Street and Arlington Street, and have before and after school programs in Nashua and surrounding towns.

Our staff has earned and maintained positions of leadership in adult education, family literacy, technology training, workplace literacy, and childcare

Community Leadership

We are governed by a volunteer board of directors, comprised of local citizens. Click here for a list of our Board Members

The Adult Learning Center is a private, not-for-profit agency. We receive financial support from United Way, program-related federal, state, county, and city grants, and donations from businesses, individuals, foundations and civic organizations. Click here to read our 2021 Annual Report.
